  • Congratulations to “spotlight”, the Prattville High School Show Choir. They competed in the Show Choir Masters at Jackson Prep School in Mississippi on Saturday. They placed 4th over all with an over all 2nd place score for visual and choreography. Great job Spotlight!




  • International Club will NOT meet tomorrow afternoon!!




  • Dodgeball money and forms are due this Friday! If 8 teams don’t sign up, we won’t have a tournament. Please pick up an interest packet from SS-7. Teams should be made up of 5 people.




  • There will be a Diamond Doll meeting this Thursday morning at 7:20 in Mrs. Smith’s room SS7.




  • All French Club members going to UA convention, dues need to be paid to Madame Cureton. All rehearsals/practices from Tuesdays through Thursdays until competition. Groups will be in Mr. Wilson’s room Tuesday and Thursday.




  • The Rotary Club is once again sponsoring Shadow Day. This is an opportunity for Juniors and Seniors to spend half a day with a professional in a career field. Students interested in participating should have at least a c average in core classes. Shadow day will take place on Tuesday, February 3. Students will meet at First United Methodist Church at 8:15 AM. Students will return to school at 1:00 PM. Lunch is provided. There are 20 slots available this year. Please see Mrs. Ward immediately to secure a slot in the following areas: Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Heath Care, Optometry, Legal, Accounting, IT/Computer Services, Tire/Automotive Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Broadcast Journalism (TV/Radio), Recreation Management.




  • The Prattville Civic Club is awarding scholarships to deserving high school seniors. Students will need two character letters and a copy of their transcript. The deadline is April 15, 2015. Those interested may pick up an application in Mrs. Harvard’s office.




  • Lincoln College of Technology will have a rep on campus February 12th during activity period. Please sign up outside Mrs. Harvard’s office to attend the presentation.




  • Prom tickets go on sale February 2nd. Tickets are $40 each for the entire month of February. Take advantage of this sweetheart of a deal in the Mane during 3rd and 4th lunch.




  • The Prattville Drumline has started their Boston Butt Sale. They are $30. They are already cooked, the best you can get, and all you have to do is come pick it up. They are also selling camp stew, first come first serve, for $10 per quart.




  • The Alabama Home Builders Foundation awards scholarships to men and women seeking careers in the core trades of the home building industry. For those who are interested, applications can be downloaded or submitted electronically from The deadline is March 15, 2015.




  • Those who have participated in Dixie Softball Programs may apply for a scholarship based on scholastic ability and financial need. Scholarships may be picked up from Rachel McLure or Mrs. Harvard. Applications must be postmarked by February 1.




  • Those interested in a career in engineering may register for Engineering Day at The events will include departmental displays and information sessions.




  • Seniors: The Tenaska Scholarship 2015 application is available in Mrs. Harvard’s office. Submission deadline is Monday, March 2, 2015.




  • The only PSAT date was in October, however, if a student writes a letter before March 1, 2015 to the National Merit Scholarship or emails them, they may have an opportunity to use their SAT scores for entry into the program. Students would email or sent a letter to National Merit 1560 Sherman Ave Suite 200 Evanston, IL 60201. Students would have to have an SAT score before June 2015. If a student is allowed to enter the competition, the information will be provided by the National Merit.




  • Hot Chocolate will be sold every Wednesday and Thursday for $1 in Gym 1.




  • Cookies will be sold at Prattville High School on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.




  • Writing Workshop is a new organization where students can receive help writing their papers. They are currently seeking volunteers. If you would like to know more, see Mrs. Murphree, Sierra Lacy, or sign up in the front office.
