Bonjour! 

I'm happy to be here at Prattville this year! I have 18 years of teaching experience, 9 in French, all at LAMP HS in Montgomery. I have been passionate about French since I first heard it spoken when I was 6 years old! I have a BA in French and English from The University of Alabama and an MA in French Linguistics from Indiana University in Bloomington. I joined the TAPIF program and taught English at the Lycée Général et Technique François Villon in Beaugency, France, in 2004-2005 before returning to Montgomery to teach at my alma mater, LAMP.

I love to travel! I have taken several student groups to Western Europe, New Zealand and Australia, and even China! I agree with Mark Twain, who said that "Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime." 

Did you know that French is the first or second language in more than 40 countries and is spoken by more than 125 million people around the world and on every continent? It is one of the top languages used in international business, in diplomacy, and by non-governmental organizations (NGO's), not to mention sports! Proficiency in French will boost your vocabulary in English, increase your critical and creative thinking skills, and significantly improve your chances of being accepted into top universities and graduate schools.
