Spanish teacher level I

I was born in Mexico city, one of the biggest cities in the world, surrounded by buildings, cars, millions of people and lots of taco places.

I arrived to the United States when I was 25 years old to study for a Master's degree in Communication and Journalism at the University of Texas in El Paso. When I arrived all I had was my bicycle, my computer, 2,500 dollars in my pocket and millions of dreams.

Before becoming a Spanish teacher I worked as a reporter for different media outlets in both Mexico and the United States. My native language is Spanish. My English is not very good and learning has been difficult for me. It has given me many headaches, but it is all worth it.

How did I end up in Alabama? Well, to be honest when I was in High school I never imagined I was going to end up in Alabama, but I was lucky enough to meet my now wife and I started my family with her in this beautiful state that I call home now.

I like to tell my students a bit of my story so they can see that learning a foreign language is not impossible. I always push them to speak Español in my class. If I can do it, you can do it!
